VE Day 75th Anniversary – Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway

This year, the government has moved the first annual May Bank Holiday to Friday, May the 8th. This is to allow for a holiday that coincides with the VE – ‘Victory in Europe’ Day which, this year sees the 75th anniversary of the formal end of World War Two.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, which already runs a highly popular annual ‘Cotswolds in Wartime’ event will be marking the occasion with their usual flair. The event will include a 1940s Restaurant at Toddington Station, with staff dressed accordingly.
