Afternoon Tea in Broadway
Introduction

Afternoon Teas at the Broadway Hotel

Ever since Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford realised, in 1840, that some food served between lunch and dinner was a tremendous idea, the tradition of afternoon tea has been an English institution.

Afternoon Tea and the Cotswolds go hand in hand. It’s something to do with the effect of all those honey-coloured stone cottages and wide-open spaces. Certainly, Broadway and Afternoon Tea were made for each other. It’s a tradition that we take seriously, with things here becoming very English indeed around about tea time.

So, make time for yourself and enjoy an Afternoon Tea at The Broadway Hotel! Take your seat in our cosy Jockey Bar, Sitting Room or Tattersalls Brasserie, booking recommended.

Cream of the crop on our menu is the Classic Afternoon Tea offering. Tuck in and enjoy a sandwich of our choice, fresh baked homemade scone served with Devon clotted cream and strawberry jam. To finish, our talented pastry chef aims to please, with raspberry & dark chocolate macarons, lemon meringue pie and carrot cake and all of this washed down with either traditional breakfast tea or coffee of your choice.

The Broadway Hotel’s traditional Afternoon Tea is £19.00 per person with the option to upgrade to a Prosecco Afternoon Tea or our popular summer offering of Pimm’s Cocktail Afternoon Tea.

So that we can manage the flow of guests throughout the hotel, we are asking that all non-residents who want to enjoy our afternoon teas to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Bookings are subject to availability, if you’re unable to pre-book, all is not lost – Afternoon Tea is served daily between 12 noon – 6 pm throughout the property.

To book either online or by calling our reception team on 01386 852401.
